It will not ruin your bulb. dust particles or fibers won't do a thing. It's oils that hurt the bulb. I just don't trust that it has never been touched so it's better safe than sorry.

install is done...took like an hour and 15 ONLY because we couldn't find a drill bit to mount the ballasts, so we went to home depot and got some and THEN we broke a drill bit lol so we just used a screw driver since the holes were already in the frame of the bumper and we also had to look for two more bolts for insurance that the ballasts will stay (can't be too careful )...had that not happened it really would have taken about 15-20 mins..my heads and my fogs match now

What kevlin did you go with, and how blue do they look? Im wanting the deep blue, so I am probably going to go with the 12,000K sets for both...

I would say go with 10,000k max if you want a deep blue, if you get 12,000 you will be throwing some purple into the mix.

Dirty, what temp do you have in your sig pic?

To each his own. In this case I think my experience has been every bit as good as it would have been for twiggy for half the price. I also beleive the you are getting the exact same bulbs as you would with twiggy. And BTW, Rubbing Alcohol does leave a residule film that indeed does affect the bulb over time and shorten its life.

Im kind of fond of the 6K to 8K range. ALthough I do really like the look of the higher color range, I also heard you lose distance.

As a policeman, How blue is to blue? The reason I ask is I heard certain temps are illegal in some states.

I think all HID's are illegal, at least around here they are. But 8000k is a light blue, 10,000k is a dark blue.
