Looking for any input on the rough country lift kit for the dodge ram. Also what would be the difference in getting the adjustable control arm bars than the non adjustable? I have the 07 mega cab 4x4. Any input or experience with this kit thanks!

 

I have heard from a few guys in here that have the 6" lift for the qc and they like it a lot. I have the 2" leveling springs from RC and I love it. They have reasonably priced kits and 90% of them are bolt on. Which is of course good for the garage mechanic.

 

What would be the difference in the adjustable arms and the non adjustable arms that rough country offers? Also what steering stablizer would be good for it?

 

With the adjustable control arm you can adjust your camber and pinion angles. You can also position the axle a little forward and back if you're running pretty big tires and have little space for them. For me, it would depend on the tire package size you're wanting to run whether you go with a single or dual stabilizer setup.

 

I personally would do solid arms. My buddy had adjustables with his Jeep and we could never keep them tight and the axles straight even with liberal torque and loctite they managed to wiggle loose. Save yourself the hassle and go solid they already have designed pinion angle into the design as well as the caster angles.

 

Im going to run 35x12.50 tires, keeping stock wheels for now. I would thing the adjustable ones would come loose evenually or have problems with them, thanks for info..

 

They are adjustable radius arms, not control arms.. And Id just stick with the solid ones for something thats not going to see extreme offroading or any crazy articulation

 

Anyone have pics of there ram with this 5" kit? Does the 07 need a steering stabilizer also? What size drive shaft would it have and would i need the part to reduce driveshaft noise? Is there anything im going to run into with the kit like extending brake lines or anything?

 

You may want to get longer brake lines and also, the only other thing i see may be the fact you need to get some spacers for your wheels. You may have clearance issues with the stock wheels only because most larger lift kits require atleast 4.5" backspacing on them and I don't think factory wheels on any level came with that kind of backspacing.

 

i put 35"s on with just a leveling kit and stock rims they rubbed slightly on the radius arm at full lock, the mega cab is on a 2500 chassis just dunno if it has the same stock height as mine, and just so ya know my sig is with 33's i can post a pic of it on 35's if you want..
