Default stacks on gas truck?

I know its prob a dumb question and all, bt I've realized that I don't need a diesel, but I love the looks of stacks pushing out black smoke.. Is it possible to run stacks on gasser and if it is, anyway to get black smoke?

No, you will be ran out of town by the green people and laughed at by the diesel folks. You must conform!

You can run stacks, but the black smoke might be a problem...

I just saw a relatively new Dakota in town saturday with stacks. Looked silly with puny pipes sticking up behind the cab, they couldn't have been more than 2" pipes.

Now back in the early 80's my father had an F250 gasser, real heavy duty truck. The old man is a welder/fabricator by trade and really liked the look of the Dodge 'Lil Red Truck of the time. He did stacks on his Furd and I thought it looked/sounded great although it would have been really killer if he had a step side bed.

That was almost 30 years ago though. That was then, this is now. You'll get laughed at and criticized for sticking a piece of chrome trim on your pickup anymore, so expect some ridicule.

And as stated above, forget the black smoke. Even the newer modern diesels meeting 2010 emissions standards don't get much of it anymore...

I have no pics of my father's old Furd, but for you youngins, here's the famous 'Lil Red Truck:

Ahhh yes. The lil red express. Cool truck in the '80's but now??????

To the OP: EPIC FAILURE. Don't do that man, c'mon. There is no way you could possibly make that look good. Let it go man.

The black smoke is unburnt diesel fuel. A gas truck isn't going to blow big black clouds.

Even if you decided to buy a diesel, the newer models take modification to do it.

Well, they came out in like '78 or '79 but the first time I saw one was the early '80's. I was probably 6. They looked cool to me. lol
