SLvrRam, do they measure off the furthest part of the bumper or to the actual bumper itself???
I ask this because Dodgegirl doesn't have the lower valence spoiler on the front bumper. that will drop the front height down like 3". i think they run <$100 at the dealer.
And it looks like you got a 2.5" lift up front. A 2" lift will set you level. A 2.5" leans backwards slightly.

I can't see where that truck is too high where it would fail an inspection. My cousin in Conn. recently failed based on ride height and simply went to a 2nd shop who passed him without ever mentioning his level and 3" body lift combo being too high.

My guess is the 'dog hit the nail on the head. The missing valance on the front gives you a good 3" more off the ground up there. Might be you need to put the stock valance back on. Popular opinion is that you lose some redirected air from the ground up to the radiator, so having it off isn't really helping you anyway...

Puuurdy. And the truck aint too bad neither.

And SHUTUP Jon, this is the only place I get to hide from my Mrs., calling me out n **** Leave it to the married man to be the one ***** enough to ask

All jokes aside, you do have one niceazz truck Dodgegirl. The grill is kinda Fordish, but I still dig it. Welcome to DF, sorry I had to be the first hound. You'll find lotsa good info here, hope you stick around.

thanks everyone!

i took the valence off when i bought the truck....a long time ago lol and dont have it anymore! not many people notice it has a leveling kit unless they ask. the 2500's are high stock anyways!

i think the place i usually go too just dont want to inspect my truck! they keep b*tching that they lose their license every year! Probably one reason i dont go there for service anymore! they wouldnt inspect it last year cause my window tint was too dark haha

Jeez, Im in e-love

We don't have inspection laws against tint (that I know of anyways), but we can and will get ticketed for anything under 55%. Yet, the cop cruisers get to have BLACKED out windows. Used to be just the K9 units, but now most of'em have dark windows. Doesn't make too much sense....

Turns out mass isn't a bumper height state...It's a total height state.

My guess would be whoever was doing her inspection didn't know there was a difference in height laws between 2wd and 4wd vehicles
