hi all, ive been trying to find the stock ride height of my truck?

i have a 2005 dodge ram 2500 heavy duty 4x4.

ok thanks! i was only asking cause the place i usually get my inspection sticker told me im too high. all i have is a 2" leveling kit on 35's. which i dont think its that high!

Your bumper height may be too high with the lift and 35s...some states are a-holes on bumper height....What state do you need to pass inspection in?

Here's the formula for figuring lift allowable...

Get out your calculator: The maximum allowable mechanical lift (as well as what's acceptable in terms of bigger rubber) can be determined by this formula:


Maximum Lift = Wheelbase x Wheel Track
2200


For example, if you did that formula and came up with 2 inches, then a 2-inch lift and a 2-inch increase in tire size is allowable, equaling a total lift of 4 inches over stock.

Edit : This was apparently in the year 2000...Searching for updated info

Double Edit : This only applies to 4wd vehicles...If you're truck is 2wd it's 2" over stock height...period
