Default The RAM bug bites again

Well I had an 03 Ram 1500 Sport in 05-07 that I bought used. I sold it when I paid it off because I couldn't handle the underpowered 4.7L any longer. Well I loved the truck aside from the powerplant. I bought a used F150 and loved the power that the 5.4L had, until I drove a new RAM. The Hemi is an awesome piece of engineering and I had to have one. I Sold the F150 and bought a like new 08 RAM Sport Hemi fully loaded QC 3.92 LS Rear end, Sunburst Orange, Tow Package, etc. It is an awesome truck and I couldn't be happier. I am excited to tow my RV with this new truck and give a comparison from my 02 F150 5.4L Lariat. It's good to be back.

I don't know what the size of your RV is but I think you will be pleased with how well your new truck pulls. Congrats!!!

The RV is a 27 ft. Tahoe trailer. It weighs 6300 lbs dry, and fully loaded at about 8200 lbs. The Ford did okay, but it was just about maxed out and I had to add-a-leaf to handle the weight. I am going to hook up the trailer this weekend and see how the RAM does. I don't think I will be disappointed based on the torque comparison from just driving around town in the RAM.

Towing that much weight you should probably install airbags and get a tuner just for good measure. I think so far the tuner was the best investment for my truck. Changing the shift points alone is what made me so happy with it.
