Default Changed Rear Diff. Fluid

Hey guys,

Just changed my diff. fluid and took some pics. I don't know a whole lot about differentials so I'm wondering what you guys think. How does it look? According to my build sheet I have the 3.92 LSD. Oh btw, I used Lucas Synthetic 75W-140.

you had the same high temp rvt on the pumpkin as I did.btw. I went with rvt blue to seal it up . Nice job assuming your already done. waited a few hours before I added fluid btw again.

This is my first diff fluid change since I got it 33000 miles ago. I used RTV Ultra Black to seal it up. Waited about 45 minutes while I was having my new Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires mounted and balanced and doing my oil change. Btw, from what you can see, is my rear diff an open diff or does it have the LSD? I'd hate to know I have an open diff when the build sheet says otherwise.

they all came with lsd's. I think the opens were for the mega's and h-d's. But I' not sure. I just assumed they are all lsd's in the 1500's but I'm probably wrong.

They don't. It's an extra option.

Anyways, I found out my truck does in fact have the LSD. I found this in the 2nd Gen section explaining which one you have by looking at it.

That would be a nasty gouge, not attainable with a scraper, imo.
