First Day with the license. . . uh oh
So yesterday I passed my license test (turned 16 on thursday) and I was cruising through town to go to the beach in my truck.
I had a magnaflow pipe put on so it really sounds pretty mean. Well I was heading through town attempting to find somewhere to park and then I look in my mirror and there are flashing lights behind me. Cop pulling me over. I very nearly made a mess in my pants.
He pulled me over because he thought the truck was kinda loud. I was taking it easy on her though so I dont know what he was hearing.
I told him that I just got my license a matter of hours ago so he let me go without a fix it ticket or anything. Just told me to take it easy through town.
My mom warned me I would get pulled over sooner or later

Me neither. My first car was a 1971 Maverick. Bright lime green! You don't get away with much when you have the only bright green Maverick in the county. Not that you could get into much trouble with that car anyway. But I tried and succeeded!
Man that sucks...he coulda been having a bad day or something, tgat stuff is totally subjective and depends on how that individual cop is feeling that individual day ( like most of the vehicle laws)

It really depends on the cop and the state. Mine is registered in WI and i can tell you if i lived there i would get a ticket with mine, but i'm military and in NC. My exhaust is to loud, my tint is too dark, and the list could go on. The key factory is don't do anything to make yourself stand out to them. like they said though everyone has a bad day and maybe that was his.
I live in wisconsin and was driving it in a mid-sized town.
I have a magnaflow (not sure of the size exactly) with a stainless tip. Its not extremely loud just in idle, but if im accelerating at all you can certainly notice it, and apparently this cop did. I thought maybe he would use his little "sound checker" thing that I have seen them use on my brothers truck, but he didn't.
Since it got OK'd by the police I think I am going to have to put a dual exhaust on her
