Do people get mad at you for having HID's?
Ever since I have had my hids, people have been getting really upset with me. It isnt so much people passing me as much as it is people that are in front of me driving. And it is mainly cars that sit right in line with my lights. Was just curious on how many people on here have the same thing goin on. Not that it is a bad thing for me, but i get a ton of people flippin me off, reachin for their mirrors, and pulling off the side of the road. To me it is kinda funny, but for them i can understand it. My lights are also aimed correctly too. If i was to go any lower then it would be pointless to have lights. But just thought i would raise a discussion with that question and see how many people have the same issue as me.
PS..it also gets very worse when i turn on my fogs as well

If your pissing enough people off that you go online and ask us then those lights gotta be aimed too high, especially since your sig says you leveled the front end. I run 8K in mine and over the past 6 months I might have been flashed 6-7 times. If you are behind another vehicle, and your headlights are lighting up their interior, then they are too high. Behind most cars my headlights dont go over the trunk/tailgate, and I can see down the road just fine.

Can't comment on the HID, would like to have them, but I don't yet. Spent about 30-minutes behind the local shopping mall aligning my lights after the level install though. I was amazed at how much I had to turn them down.
I only get flashed when I drive with my fogs on...With the fogs on I am guarenteed to get flash about 10 times in a night.

Tailgating doesn't help this issue either....just saying.
There has to be a DIY on how high lights should shine on a wall based on how far away you are parked...I'll look and get back to this thread.

Here's an online guide to headlight alignment. It also mentions alterations in the aim to be used for tall vehicles, and it mentions fog lights as well...

I posted the where to and what fors. look em up on threads that I posted. In short you need to be 15 feet away from a horizontal line 18 inches tall. That is where they shoud be aimed. The first crease in an average garage door is a good baraomter.make sure you are 15 feet away. You should be fine. i agree with the fog lights, but I get it from a$$holes who don't know too look right. so they don't get blinded. Like I'm supposed to know when these morons are driving towards me. i wish I could literally beat some sense into these mindless idiots. but thats just me.
