Default BBK headers are a PAIN in the...(y)

So I put my bbk shorty headers on last nite and they are really hard to put on! I wish I would of never bought them just for that... I have an 08 trx4 and it literally took me from 7 at night to 11 the next day of solid installing!! You could not get to the bolts to tighten them for anything...my fingers and hands are shreaded and yes I followed the directions step by step. The only thing that was shortfall on my part was the under body of my truck was muddy making it all the more painfull! I HATE BBK. I HATE BBK. I HATE BBK.

That is a long install. LT's don't even take that long.

Wow, you did have some issues. When I installed my BBK headers it a pain at times but overall not to bad. Took about 5 1/2 hours with a few beer breaks.

I removed the inner wheel liners. The drivers side takes some patience to get in if you have a 4x4 like mine.

Taking the liners out is a necessity. With them out of the way you can get to the top bolts and get to the bottom ones from underneath.

That is why you had so many issues. If your truck was on jack stands with the front wheels removed and the wheel well liners out, it would have been much easier. You could have taken the liners out with an adjustable wrench, it just would have taken and extra minute compared to using a socket.

As for adding a pic, go to the user cp (top of page) and edit you signature.
