Love my new 5100's! The ride is great, but I don't really have anything to compare it to as the stock shocks were shot for awhile....but I love the built in lift. Went with the max height and now she sits level!(stiff)
More than happy with the results!!
Now I wanna tackle the rear, and I want to get something with load leveling built in as I haul firewood and probably my snowmobile this winter and want the truck to stay level with a load on. Any suggestions guys??

Put a''add a spring kit'' in it. You can get them at lmc truck. I believe .Did you end up farming the 5100 install out, I did too big a job for the driveway, and no garage.imo.

I wouldnt get a higher load spring because the high load ability is there EVERYDAY. That means your ride will ALWAYS be rough and bouncy even though you only need the heavy spring a few times. Many guys that put alot in their beds but the airbag kits. There are 50 threads on helper airbags on here, you just leave them with a little air all the time and put the needed air in when your towing. Only $200ish also.

Now what's the largest tire you can get on that? 33x11? 35x12.5?? Thinking about doing this same setup but just don't want any rubbing in my tires.

So on front wheel drive vehicles, there is play inthe strut where it connect to the wheel assembly. This is adjusted during front end alignments. With the bolt loose at you "push" the top of the wheel all the way in before you tighted up the strut. That is factory setting (cars like the corsica, Gand am...cars like that).

Pjordan, Nice truck bud, love that color! To answer your question on "push", you are confusing these struts with front wheel drive struts in cars and mini vans. These trucks don't have that type of strut, these are coil over shocks reffered to as struts because they are one unit, instead of conventional design of coil spring and shock absorber.
The need for an alignment comes from the fact that the suspension is extended somewhat from it normal position with the install of these shocks and therefore the camber is out slightly(even though the tires are still tracking straight) Hope this is as clear as mud! lol
BWhelen not sure on the tire sizes that will fit.
Thanks Matt for the suggestion. I was thinking airbags would do the trick!!

A 2" level is a 2" level whether it's a spacer kit or lift struts. Look HERE for tire sizes and fitment. They are all over the board too. Do a quick search and you'll find literally hundreds of threads.
I don't wanna clog up this level thread with tires sizes, but HEIGHT can be 35" on a level however WIDTH cannot be more than 11.5" on a stock wheel without wheel spacers for 06-08 guys. You need a spacer to run a wider tire or it'll rub on your upper control arm BJ. 02-05 guys won't rub the upper control arm but WILL rub on a full turn without spacers.
Gotta have a 4.5" backspacing and 2" lift to run 35x12.5" tires on ALL YEARS for a zero rub condition.
