Default New grill installed

You guys know Im just trying to be like you all.

So I installed my mesh grill finally. Ive actually been working on it for quite some time but my play time has been limited so I actually got to finish it yesterday.

The first time I tried to spray with clear coats it did not come out right. I used Krylon triple thick clear glaze and it made it look white-ish. So I had to replace all my material and I used lacquer finish and it worked well.

Anyway, here are the pics I know you all want to see.

Im not happy with the right side and will re-do it later as time permits but at least it is on and Im driving WITH a grill.

I had the standard black honeycomb grill. I was going to get some further away pics but my truck was too dirty for that right now. Maybe this weekend I can get some more

I found it was better to zip tie it to the grill inserts first and then cut them out to the shape of the inserts

If I had those billet inserts I would have kept those but for a total of $8-10 I decided to do this. I already had zip ties and a rivet gun.

Thats because as I get farther into the truck, everything gets more costly. Im also doing a custom center console that add a place for my Xbox 360, another amp and 12" sub as well as adding a B&M Quicksilver ratcheting floor shifter and doing away with the column shifter. So that project (which is slow) is costly and time consuming because I only want to do it once and not twice.....LOL

I hope to make some progress on that this weekend.....hopefully.
