Yeah, I feel ya' Okla. The "split" is a compromise in an attempt to appease everybody. We were getting more and more complaints from guys who would post pics of their girlfriend/vacations/etc. in the tech section and a moderator would move it to OT (and rightly so) that they ONLY wanted to be in their particular tech section (and not just 3rd Gen guys either btw).

At the same time, we have always gotten complaints from members about nonsense posts in the tech sections and having to sift thru page after page of these posts to find a piece of technical information he was looking for. My mailbox had more of these complaints and "reported posts" than all other PMs combined!

For the most part, response to the "split" of the sections has been positive, Forum-wide, we are receiving way less complaints about moving non-tech posts because they are not going "all the way" to the OFF TOPIC Section and we almost NEVER get a complaint about non-tech posts in the tech sections anymore. But at the same time, a LOT of people are not gravitating from the tech sections to the general discussion sections. Case in point, Weedahoe won MOTM and appeared not to even know he was in it!

Since the "split" membership is UP, posts are UP almost 20% (big influx of newbies lately) but OTM voting is WAY DOWN. So obviously guys are not finding it in the GD sections. Even though OTM polls ARE NOT TECHNICAL, maybe we should put them back in the tech sections? Dunno.

Looks to me like you put the wrong grill guard on that thing! Just maybe you shoulda opted for one with a winch mount and got yourself a winch, boy!!!

A truly nice rig to be sure but he's got big time competition this month. Another one of those months were there really isn't a loser, ALL awesome rigs...
