Default for pistol packin ram owners...

check this site out, they have vehicle specific "safe" conversions for under-seat storage. thought it was pretty neat.

Very nice, I love the custom fit, but still a little pricey. I have a small lock box, will hold one large frame or two sub-compacts, came with a locking cable to secure it where you want it. Not near as nice as this one, but it only cost me $29.95...

In Ohio, the container need not to be lockable...only latchable, so my center console serves just fine.

In Georgia, it can be laying on the seat, locked and cocked! But I will lock it in a box if I leave it in there and I'm away from the vehicle and don't carry it. I bought mine simply as a theft preventative...

thats a pretty cool idea, but im a big fan of keeping my CCW weapon on me at all times.. Im not fan of leaving it in the truck for extended periods of time.. If I do have to leave it in the truck say to go into a gov building it is in the truck only for as long as it takes me to go into the building, after that it goes back into the holster/pocket(just depends on what im carrying that day).

Here in Tennessee, we usually just hang 'em from the mirror and dare the bad guys to start something.

OK, not really. If I'm carrying, I take it with me. No center console in my truck anyway.

If that wasn't so expensive that'd be a great idea. You could lock a lot more than just a gun in tehre and not worry about it. Most ppl don't even know that spot exists. Hell i had to show a couple guys at work that spot in there own truck!
