I have an 04 Ram 1500 SB QC and was wondering how I can tell if my truck is an SLT or an ST.

for one i dont think a hemi came in any st's...but i could be wrong im thinking the st were all v6?.....slt would be my guess...

 

slt would have the fully load except leather like power mirrors windows locks and driver seat. st i believe would have the hand crank windows.

 

+1 Crank Windows are dead give-away of ST pkg Ram. Power Windows are SLT or Laramie

 

My SXT has crank windows, the window sticker is SXT/ST. SLT come with a wide range of accessories, some with little more than my SXT has.

 

i'm assuming that mine is an SLT then since I have power locks, windows & mirrors, cruise control, tilt wheel, infinity stereo/steering wheel controls, electronic 4wd switch, 20" wheels and body color front and rear bumpers

 

the only thing I think I don't have is leather and power/heated seats

 

Newer SXT's have power windows as compared to the older SXT models that don't. SXT is basically a limited optioned Sport with plastic covered bumpers, no fogs, basic interior paneling(I.e. no wood grain or fancy stuff) and basic wheels. Some dealers did order SXT packages with additional features which is why it's so hard to decipher one from another.

 

After you are satisfied, by giving up the VIN number and getting your answer go to the dealer and buy one of those cool looking SLT chrome/black SLT emblems and stick it right below 4X4 on your tailgate. Like I have an 07 "thunder road" no where on the truck does it say this, it is an SLT no where on the truck does it say this and in 2008 and years before there is no consistancy in where or what a truck is/was on the body other then the "HEMI" emblem forward on fender or back towards door. Man, it is a later noiced annoyance when you see a truck with the same equipment and a "Big Horn" Ram on the tailgate in front of you.
I have my original sticker, I suppose I could sticky goo it to the window. I had a nice 99, a better interior 03 and I just had to have a HEMI hence my 07 man I could have dropped a ticking, so far not ticking after much work, hemi into my 03. It had a better plush interior. My 99 said; SLT Larmaine on the door post. I just had to have a hemi........Even earned my first "do you know how fast you were going" in Connecticut....No, and you don't either! Which resulted in a illegal passing on right bogus ticket on I-95 2 points. I just had to have a Hemi...........Love my Hemi
