Any info on a slipping chatter sound coming from the rear end?
At least it sounds like that's where its coming from.
Have had various guess from Dodge machanic to transmission shop....

 

does it happen in a straight line or does it happen when accelerating while turning from a stop. if its when your turning then it could have an LSD rear end, they are known for chattering. but you should be able to feel it in the whole truck aswell. if its LSD, try flushing the fluid and put in the mopar lsd additive. if it stays theres a problem with the clutches in the rear end.

 

The OEM LSD differential are known to have problems. I would pull the cover and inspect. If nothing is found then I would have the trans serviced. This of course is taking for granite you don't have bad u joints. Good luck
