Plastic-dip for winter??

i was thinking (always not a good thing lol) and could i spray my rims with plastic-dip to protect them for the winter? do you guys think it could handle the cold and snow rubbing on it??

im sure it would hold up just fine....anyways it doesnt cost much so if it chipped you could always touch it back up agian

i haven't actually looked for it yet lol not sure i'm just gonna check the local hardware stores
