Default 500Hp CAI Mod

Finally got the Supercharger put on. All I have to say is this thing is worth every penny!

Pics: http://butch151981.shutterfly.com/2037

Things learned on this project:
1.Superchargers are bas A$$
2.Fitting 2 intercooler tubes between the fender, bumper and frame is a pain in the butt.
3.Pull your truck out of the garage BEFORE you start painting the intercooler pipes, or your truck will have a red “haze” on it. OR use the paint booth that you made…..I am an idiot
4.After cutting a piece of metal off with a grinder the piece of metal will be hot. Do not lay on it with a cut off T-shirt. (hence the war wound photo)
5.Procharger’s location of the Splurge valve is kinda lame. (Hence the photos of it relocated up into the engine bay.
6.The way Procharger tells you to “depressurize” the fuel system still leaves pressure in the system! (Gas does not taste good)
7. When you drop a socket into the motor area, don’t waste ˝ hour looking for it, just open the door to the truck then shut it, and the socket will fall to the ground……magic!

Thanks guys. I actually found a guy on craigslist that was selling one and I lowballed him ($1800) I couldn't pass that up! It was the older version with the 2 extra injectors in a throttle body spacer and the unichip, but I ditched that and got the 39.5lb injectors and custom tune from procharger. It works great. When it hits boost it pulls like crazy. It is supposed to be at least 500hp at the crank, probably 350-400 or so at the wheels (250 is about stock) I really want to get it on the dyno soon....I will post numbers whenever I get it done. Its amazing what a little paint and polish will do. It looks like a brand new system.
