Default seriously.... upsetting

well i bought my new cragar soft 8 rims, got everything ready and took my truck to the tire shop at 7am... well i was sittin the their waiting in the lobby, and they said the rims didnt come with lug nuts, oh great.... (i checked when i got back and the site i bought them and they never said it does not include lug nuts and i have bought 4 different sets of rims that all came with lug nuts lol).... well i said just use the original ones and he said nope.... they wont fit with the center caps on, so i said order my some lugnuts, well now its gonna be like a freakin week till the lug nuts come in... so my rims are sittin in the garage and i dont have a day of work untill next tuesday to put them on.... thats my rant for the day

I ran into a similar issue with mine, but it only took about an hour to round up a set of lugs.

You can go to any after market tire/rim shop and get a set of lugs and locks locally. No need to order and wait.

Thats what i was thinkin. Did you check like and advance or autozone or napa. they all carry lugnuts. I wouldve flown out and grabbed some before i waited a week and ordered them. Oh well lesson learned. And good info for the rest of us.

Every time I go in AutoZone or Advance Auto or even Oriellys, they have every lug their is EXCEPT 9/16. NONE of them carry it ever.

That's one advantage to dealing with a local shop. You let THEM worry about having everything there necessary to install what you order.

In my case, I have a buddy in south Ga. who owns two tire/auto repair shops so I have the added benefit of getting my wheels/tires/etc. at cost...

oh i went to advance napa and autozone, noone had the lugs in a 3/4 diameter with 9/16 threads.... but my tire shop ordered them and i got them for like a dollar apiece, it took 4 days, mainly because thats the soonest i could get my truck in to get it done and NOW i have a shake at 64-68 mph, so i am thinkin they need to be rebalanced again
