Default My MPG

Hey guys,

My MPG has dropped by around 4 MPG here in the last few weeks. My driving has not changed at all. Just coming and going from work and the normal running around. I always get my gas at the same station and always have.

Any idea`s as to what could cause this sudden drop? It is really sucking.

Dont know if you know it or not but get ready. The hemi has 16 spark plugs.

I would try running some Lucas fuel conditioner in a few tanks and see if it helps. Its in the big quart bottle that looks like a differential oil bottle and it cost around 10 bucks at any parts store. The quart bottle treats up to 100 gallons so you only need to put in 9oz at a time. I was getting horrible mileage (16 hwy) in my ram 4.7L and i put some in the tank and filled it up and it gradually got better. by the third tank it was back getting 20 on the hwy. Now i only put it in once a month. Maybe it will help yours out.

Don't forget about cleaning that throttle body. Use some non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Real easy to do.

Got 8 of the 16 spark plugs done tonight. The bottom 8 tomorrow :/

Hope it helps. The old ones don`t look all that bad to me.

could also be fuel related, tire air pressure, intake air filter, sitting at lights or intersections longer than usual, ECT
