what tire do ppl like best in the snow on the road?
I'm not really sure how to convert between these systems but when I said that I think Blizzak 35" exists I didn't take into account width/radius, only the size of the tire. I probably didn't explain myself clearly.
The Blizzack is a LEGENDARY snow tire on pavement, but not a very good off-road tire. It has a fairly thin sidewall, no "side-biters", smallish blocks and no large voids to disburse mud through. Besides not having a 35" tire, that's the other reason I recommended what I did to the OP, as he states he does some off-roading...
I take my aftermarket wheels and big tires off for the winter and run Cooper Discoverer M+S for the snow. They are amazing!!! I also have them studded. In size 265/70/17 they look too small for my truck but have the best snow traction ever.
Newfoundland has very bad winters and I tried the Hankooks for the first snowfall. It was just like having a pair of ski's on. TERRIBLE!!!!
