New heads and new HIDs
Many of you guys saw my thread when I installed the new headlights.
I bought a 6000K HID kit from hidextra.com. From their website:
"The common fuse is often replaced by resistors, relays, or modules. However, newer vehicles 2006 and up are now using computer controlled modules for headlights. Due to the update, relays, resistors, & even some fuses are now being eliminated. HIDExtra HID Kit has specially programmed our digital chips inside our ballast to function with OEM standards; thus giving you no errors, no flickering and no DTC codes."
Well, I bought them and installed them.....and guess what? No lamp out, no flickering. I installed them today and had them on for a while. Everything is working beautifull thus far....
They are far whiter than my Silverstars as well.
So how long does it take for the lamp out to come on? I did not take pics yet but I will get some. Any thoughts from anyone?

ive had a few sets from hidextra. great customer service. only problem is i have one 8k bulb from about a year ago and the other is a 8k bulb a couple weeks old and the temps are a little different. the new 8k has a greenish tint to it, old 8k is only blue and white
Mine are DDM the cheap kit, and its pretty good.
I am in the process of returning a bad ballast right now. I like that they have a lifetime warranty.

ok i got some hids today and installed them fogs and heads.. my heads are acting up whenever i have the truck off they will come on and work perfectly but when i start the truck they will start to strobe and then shutoff and wont come back on, but if i flip my brights on they will come on and when i flip my brights off they will turn off but the beam doesnt change... why is this?? how can i bypass or do something to keep them from strobing what is going on??
not being an a-hole but like i said in your OTHER post slappin, this is an issue covered many times before...dont thread jack...just start a new thread after searching for an answer???
do you hear a click in the bulb when you flip from high to low? its got a magnet that pulls the bulb back for high beam, and my highs wouldnt work until I ran a power cable (with inline fuse) to the battery...are the ballasts buzzing on low? any flickering?
