I have projectors and HID's.

You don't gain any light output using the combination. The cheap projectors seem to actually filter out alot of the light spectrum that the HID's produce. So the difference between Projector and a standard bulb and a projector with HID is minimal.

The more quality lenses however do work well with HID's, However you are talking custom headlight build with very pricey projection lenses.

8k in the heads and 6k in the fogs. I loved them. My light output was awesome. Too bad I sold my truck. I miss it so much.

 

I used to have ones similar to the ones EJM05 had, the ones in my sig pic, but the beam pattern and light output of the ones I had with HID’s, sucked. The ones I have now are real HID projectors retrofitted into my stock headlights. It wasn’t cheap, especially since I had to ship my headlights out to get them done, but the results are much, much better than the aftermarket halogen projectors.
