Intake Debate!
My current setup is an Airaid Modular Intake Tube from the Throttle Body to the factory air box, with a K&N drop-in filter. I'm debating whether or not to go with a cone filter set-up. I've got a chance to get a, Airaid QuickFit box with the cone filter for a really good price, but can't decide if it's worth it over the current set-up. Would a cone filter set-up really flow & perform that much more than a K&N Drop-in fliter with the factory air box?
hmmm.... not sure what to do.... any input/opinions?

Flow more, maybe....
My experience has been that you lose some low end torque with more flow on these trucks. I started a thread about this last year and most that took part in it agreed. They had noticed the same thing.
I did the cone CAI first, then added a Y pipe and Magnaflow muffler....all increased flow. My high end torque definitely increased, but on the flip, my low end did suffer a little bit. I even added 4.10s and it helped a little. I did a test and put the stock intake setup back on and the low end torque came back noticeably.
Now, I run the stock airbox with a pipe to the TB, much like the Airaid intake.
