Default Amp research power step question

Does anyone know, if installed correctly using the correct door trigger. Does only one side open when a door opens or do they both open when any door is opened. I thought it was a stupid question at first but no I just wanna know for sure.

I would love to have a set also but not for the cost they want. As said, just the drivers side drops if it is the only door opened. I know a guy around here who has some on his MC and thats how his work.

I have these on my rig. The running board will open with either the front or rear door. I have had these about 3 years now. The best money I've spent! Got them installed at my local 4 Wheel Parts for $1900. The wifey really likes them cause she's only bout 5' tall, (or should I say short). Gone through mud, snow and sand with no problems. Just get under and hose off.

I really want a set to. I have been batting around how difficult something like that would be to fashion up. May be my winter project. If I could get a good look at a set before I started trying to fashion my own, I know that would help me a lot.

So hemiman07, How bout taking some good pics for me.

I know this is obvious, but you'll clearly have to tap into each door trigger for them to power down independantly. if you use just the driver door trigger for both, then they will both swing out when you open the driver door and not at all when you open the pass door.

Dirtydog, are you talking bout seperate steps for the front and rear doors? The ones I have are just one long one. I'm not sure how they hooked them up but, they seem to open up with the dome lights, when they come on. I did notice under the hood they installed this black box.

Traker1001, I will take some pics maybe tomorrow. Check back then.

No, I was thinking one large step for both front/rear doors. If they operate on the dome light, then both driver and passenger side would fold out no matter what door is open. Sounds like a quick way to go about it, not necessarily the right way!

Like I said, I don't know exactly how they connected them but they work fine.
