Default 33" AT or MT tires?

Hey guys. Having some problems finding 33x10.5x17 or 295/70/17 or 305/70/17 tires. I just installed a CST 4" leveling kit on my truck, and looking for something bigger and better. Looking for osmething like the Nitto Terra Grapplers AT, Trail Grapplers MT or something similar to those. Any suggestions?

295/70/17 - Nitto makes the Terra and the Trail Grapplers in this size.

they also make the Terra in a 305/70/17

Hmmm... I was just on a few sites and it's not listed. I'll make a call to Discount and see what's up.

look at Discount Tire. I got a set of 33x12.5x17 Terra's for $180 per. I would imagine they can probably get what you want (33x10.5x17) as well, and prolly would be cheaper. Also, look at 4wheelonline (http://www.4wheelonline.com/), they had the best prices I could find and Discount Tire actually had to come down to match their price.

Beast - What width rim are you running? I'm pretty sure my Eagles are like 9 or 9.5. would the 12.5 be okay?

both 9 and 9.5 would be okay with 12.5 wide tires. I am running 17x9 wheels with 295x70x17 Terras (12.5 wide). The tires are actually a hair bigger than 33s.

Im running 8.5 inch rockstars on a 33x12.50. You wont have any problems running a 9 or 9.5 on a 12.50

Nitto Terra Grapps are a GREAT tire, but it's hard to make a recommendation unless I know EXACTLY how you use your truck. As far as mud tires go, even though I have had many different M/T tires, they have a LOT of drawbacks if you don't use your truck in situations that need them.
You may be perfectly fine with an aggressive A/T. If you do a LOT of pavement driving, you may opt for a less aggressive, high mileage A/T like a Mickey Thompson ATZ. Maybe you are like me and do both, but have to travel a good distance to your "play spots" where a hybrid A/T-M/T might do best?

How do you use your truck?

I mainly use the ruck to drive to and from work, haul the dirtbikes out to the desert on the weekends, thats about it. I honestly probably would not use the full potential of a MT tire, but, if i'm forking out the $, I want something that looks good.

In my opinion, and depending on your everyday use i would go for the trail grapplers they are more aggressive and look alot better than the terra grapplers, however if you still want a great tire for everyday use and the occasional offroad adventure then the terra grapplers are the way to go.
