Default Rotor Choices

About a year ago I changed my front brakes and had the rotors turned. Now they are vibrating again (I assume it is the front)

Any recomendations on a new rotor? I beleive OEM is prone to warping. Would I need drilled rotors? What about the drilled rotors on ebay?

I would prefer to go to Autozone or Napa but dont want to warp in 6 months.

OEM rotors warp easily it seems. A lot of guys buy drilled and slotted although you could likely just get yours turned this time and keep going for a while. Thats what i did and had no issues.

well, you do have rear rotors as well and they can shake just as bad if not worse than the fronts sometimes.
If you go drilled/sloted I would definately reccomend installing new rear along with the fronts. Not a good idea to mix/match those.

I wanted to also add....OEM rotors are much thicker and are made with better materials than aftermarket one's. So, the OEM one's will certainly last longer than any aftermarket rotor that is considered as an "OEM replacement". That has been the industry standard for as long as i can remember.
Going to the drilled/slotted will certainly help dissapate the heat and therefore last longer with less chances of warping.

ebay seller brakemotive76 (http://myworld.ebay.ca/brakemotive76/) has really good drilled and slotted quality rotors and at a decent price about $230 for 4 rotors and 4 sets of ceramic pads

I am having the same problem with my truck. Every time I push on the brakes it shakes and vibrates really bad. I was thinking about just having my rotors turned because the brakes are not squealing at all, just the shaking. Anyone know how much this costs to have done?

I also forgot to add in my previous post. After having the rotors turned do I need to have a new alignment or anything? Thanks

I put crossed drilled and slotted on the front and back from Summit ran about $89.00 per rotor, They were the Summit brand(from China) new pads and have not had a probem. Did the fronts about 1 1/2 ago and the backs last Saturday.

I bought my front powerstop slotted rotors and hawk pads at autoanything for $330. Bought the rear rotors (non-slotted) at pep boys for another $75 or so. It was a $400 job in parts to do all my brakes but so far I can't complain and it's been about 500 miles so far. If you want to get your brakes done right, you're going to spend a little money. The guy on ebay seems to be what everybody refers people to, to get the best deal.
