Tow Wiring Colors

I have the factory 4-wire trailer towing set up. What does each color stand for?

I have a 7-wire horse trailer that has electric brakes and when I connect to my harness, the trailer brakes lock up.... I just need to know which wire does what so I can switch those wires around on the trailer.

For the time being you can click on the links in my signature to download a copy of the service manual for your truck and use the electrical drawings and find the wires you need
