I have changed out the manifolds for TTI long tubes in my Demon and Coronet and I have JBA shorties on my Durango. The headers are a hugh improvement over the manifolds, but a ported head will and cam shaft will be a night to day.

a cam needs headers to get the full potential out of it...

It will get 100 + easily on the Hemi if you use a cold air intake, tuner, headers, cam shaft, ported cylinder heads, and cat-back exhaust as my Durango dynoed close to 480 horsepower....not sure about other engines. If power is wanted and money is not a problem, I would go with all the above,

FF im gonna disagree with you again. If you want power, go big valve heads, not ported heads. Ported heads are a "mid-grade" option. BV heads are a little bit more, but if you're gonna spend the money, do it right. Thats like buying shorty headers when you could get longtubes.

I agree with you as far as a cam and heads being big boost in power, but c'mon get real, this guy is just getting into performance. heads/cam is NOT the place to start.

Its becoming painfully obvious the guys that know what they're talking about, and the guys that... well the guys that that just dont. Good input weed

Keep in mind those that use BV heads are usually aluminum CNC'ed heads that are also P&P'ed. If you are dropping 2k+ for a set of those heads you are going to go all out.
