Glad to say I am now the proud owner of a 08 Ram 1500 5.7 quad cab. It was a big upgrade for me going from a 01 F150 single cab v-6. Went to the Ford House to test drive a Chevy and bought a Dodge go figure. So the first place I went was to get a Cherry Bomb Si/So and K&N air filter. They had just gotten it in so didnt have much information on it. I got my build sheet and turns out I have the 3.97 rear end, and the MDS engine. However I have never noticed it engaging even when traveling the 120 miles to work with cruise set at 70mph. So I am wondering if its possible that it has a tune programed already. Is there anyway to tell? Not that I really want to enable it just want to know what Im working with. Have been reading plenty of threads on here and enjoying the vast amount of information. Let the Mods begin.

You prolly have a 3.92 rear end, not 3.97. You'll notice the MDS kick in as soon as you get your exhaust replaced!

Well I work on a drilling rig so only go once every 7 days, still havent seen the mds kick in but drove a buddy of mines truck the other day with the same set up but he didnt have anywhere near the power mine does so Im guessing there is some type of program in it. Either way I am extremely happy
