Default Rear seat spacers

hey guys
just installed 2 10s under my back seats and now my back seats are hitting the box. I need some kind of spacers so the seats will lay flat without hitting the box. I was reading through some forums and saw that fox acoustics sells spacer kits for 15.00. I went on the site and found nothing. I dont want to use washers that will look like crap. I will get something machined if thats my last option. Looking forward to your input thank you

alright thank you i guess i will just make my own then...now my other question is the rail that the backs slide up and down on, how much can you space the bottom out without the back coming off the rail or is that not really an issue?

You mean that hook? Some guys will flit it so they can let down the seat. I didnt do mine like that because my amps are mounted to the back wall and I intentionally did not want them accessible for possible theft reasons. But the spacers Fox gives are 5/8 or 3/4 MDF and my seats are still hooked on those hooks on the back wall so you can do at least that.

I went up an inch (Using large nuts as spacers) and The seat stayed hooked. It would unhook if I lifted the seats up halfway and pulled on the backs. But they wouldn't just fall forward. So I would say anything less than an inch would keep the seat backs from coming off the hooks.

I bought a few feet of boxed 1.5" aluminum at a scrap yard. Cut it in 13" (i think) sections, drilled holes and mounted them with the STOCK BOLTS. I bought new bolts but the stock ones ended up working. Hope this helps. Also, you dont have to flip the hooks on the back wall and can still do the seat folding mod

alright guys an update for my issue. I went out and bought 5\8" nuts doubled them up and had to buy longer bolts as my stock ones would not thread with this much spacing. My seats still hit the speaker box and will not close obviously. It has to be the box that i bought off ebay here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/DODGE-RAM-02-09-...item4cf3578f0d . I wrote them and asked for a refund or to send me a different box that will work. If i cannot close my seats then it is pointless. The box is just to deep and the seats hit the back of the box when you try to fold them down. So that is where I stand now.
