Trailer towing capacities range from 2,900 to 9,100 pounds the 20 inch wheels usually {lower} max towing capacity by about 1000 poinds

Look at the VIN for the vehicle. The forth position will be the GVWR of that vehicle. (L=9001-10000 M=10001-14000 any letter lower than these is even less load) You also need to figure out what class hitch is on it.

Don't forget to take into account the weight of what goes IN the trailer, and the truck as well. It can add up QUICK!

The class of hitch has nothing to do with the truck's rated towing capacity. Neither does GVWR. It's the GCWR that is relevant. For a guess, I'd say the all-up trailer weight can't be over 8,000# A bunch of stuff in the truck will reduce that.

If you have the trailer tow package, your truck is rated to pull up to 8500 lbs.
