For all Lifted 2WD HATERS...
Guys...all this was meant to be was a jab at the guys who talked **** about lifted 2WDs and to prove, if they're just meant for the road anyway...who cares if it's 2WD or 4WD. I only jabbed at the 4.7L because of the comment calling bullsh!t, that's all. I wasn't picking on the 4.7L guys at all, I think it's a good motor and the new one is much better putting out some 310hp, now, with whatever chip putting 60hp out if you do the math, that's still 25hp less than the HEMI so truck vs. truck, all being the same except the engine...HEMI wins. But 370hp from that engine is great...with that said...
Xills truck is nice and I agree, the 38s and 24s look awesome. But, better looking or putting to shame some of these other trucks...nah. No fog lights and a 4.7L indicates a stripped truck. So while it does look good...I have seen '84 Monte Carlos on 24" wheels and while theyre expensive, it's still a Monte Carlo. He's got to spend another $5,000 or more, plus add leather, heated seats, navigation, more hp, dual zone climate control, power seats, etc. Not mention what's rolled into the $5,000 such as painted to match flares, tonneau cover, body lift, engine upgrades, dvd players, subs, etc. Like I say, I think it's beautiful...I really like the look of the 38s and 24s, but it doesn't put these trucks to shame...sorry.

Using the 2009 for reference as that is when the 4.7L was jumped up, it was like 235hp when I had one, and I think it was upgraded somewhere in between to like 270hp I think ...like I say, I had one in Reg. Cab Dakota SLT that was lowered on 20" wheels with the RT flares and it was fast for what it was. Never got but to about 270hp or so with bolt ons, but it was fast for a small truck. Now, you know, a new 4.7L against a '07 or so HEMI would be a good race stock vs. stock. So, if that was the point that is made, I agree. But '09 to '09, stock vs. stock, same truck more hp wins, its math and physics, not black magic and will power. Upgraded similarly, same outcome. Great motor and a great option for the newer trucks, one that I would definitely take a look at when I get into the market again in the next year or so...need another project...
Here we go again look how big my d is I got a hemi and it's lifted and I'm bigger and harder than you.... Wha hahah bwah, ramstrat has a 2 we lifted with a 4.7 l and can haul a car 200+ miles w/o an issue. But as said If it's not a hemi it's a pos right? I'll have to be good in this thread as it's a bullish!t useless thread, why don't you come down to the strip here and I'll race my 4.7 against that lifted windsail we'll see what's what then, I may not have built up motor but I'll bet I can put up one good fight..... All you punks with the my hemi is better attitude need a real clue, get over it we don't care us 4.7 guys could make as much power if and I said if the aftermarket companies would put just a lil bit out there for us....
yea I dont really understand alot of it either Jay. Like I said, there arnt alot of trucks that are built big to actually work so when you put a truck like Xills up against others, it does put the others to shame because it does look better. You can pick out "ohh it doesnt have a cupholder so its stripped" or w/e but it still looks better than yours, mine, and his. And unless you need the extra foot of clearance and your stainless steel is stained from mud, theres no point in putting the money in other than looks
Matt you and I see eye to eye on alot of things and just because xill has a slt model doesn't mean **** it's till a badazz truck period, I don't have factory fogs big deal I got Hellas, does it matter to me what somebody like this thinks about my truck nah just another pantywaste... My truck came the way I bought it I just made it better like the rest of us are doing...
Hey hammer, is that jeep tuned yet? And yeah the jeep prolly is faster only cause it's lighter, I think my mods make up for the HO although if you see some HO cams and heads I'd love to pick up some.... I ain't worried bout your hemi it can just go more places than my street queen

Oh man...where to start...
Hmm, well yea i will say you have a nice truck, but you have a ****ty attitude. You think the Hemi 5.7 is superior to the Magnum 4.7....Well I will say this...I have a custom lifted 2WD with 39.5(realistically 41.5)x16.5(realistically 17.5)x20 and I KNOW i can do ANYTHING in my "little" 4.7 that you can do in your "BIG" 5.7. You are on what, 37's 38's??? (I could go back and find out, but I wont give it the time). I have 3 inch bigger tires, well 4 (cause if you know anything about tires, you will know that PitBull tires run an inch wider and taller than they list....) and Im probably safe in assuming you are about 15" wide...mine are 16.5 wide, so that alone adds some weight.
My truck has stock 3.92's, full magnaflow exhaust and a K&N FIPK CAI and thats it for motor help. I can trailer my 4000lb stratus, on a 600 lb trailer with no issues at all.
WOOHOO, you have a big bad "Hemi"....wow.....they are a dime a dozen...everyone thinks that their Hemi is better than the Magnum....well just because its bigger, doesnt mean its better.....(ask your gf)
This thread started out as a "Hey, a 2wd can look just as good lifted as a 4wd lifted" and then you turned it into a "I have the fastest Hemi and the biggest d!ck that can beat anything and the 4.7's suck, and I also whoop up on my dads 2500 6.0 (which is total BS)"
I have never owned a Hemi. I have driven a bunch of them, and I dont see enough (+) to justify the increase in price.
The 4.7L Magnum is an awesome motor. It has good torque and good hp.
Bottom Line....Its a great motor!
And just for some proof....
