Default Thanked my truck today.

Had to spend last night in a hotel, could not get home. Very cold (-10) and 55 mph winds. Roads closing, no tow zoning, ect.

My 05 has the factory battery. Went outside to start it up and scrape the widows. I said a short prayer and hit the key. Started right up.

Drove home, what should have been a 20 min. drive took an hour. 4WD all the way, 30-40 mph tops. Some hyways where down to one lane. East-West gravel roads plugged shut, but we made it home!

Happy with how my truck ran other then the 4x4 light going on-off-on all the time. With an open rear diff and worn Goodyear junk-os you need 4x4 just to get around. Can't wait to have a LS installed and new tires! Hope everyone had a safe weekend....it was kinda a rough one!

Thumbs up

Glad to hear you made with no issues, I agree it's a great feeling knowing your truck won't let you down...

the stock battery can take a lot worst than -10, i've definitely started mine in -30. wind chill doesn't affect the battery to the best of my knowledge. btw, my truck is getting a new battery next year. no problems yet, but it's ancient.

Well, I also liked mine drive to the work this morning. We have snow squall alert in our region today and very bad road conditions. Yesterday it was +2C but during the night temperature fall down to -15C and about a foot of snow . Will see how I'll make my way back home in the evening - I drive 100 km each day.

I hate the cold! And it looks like from the news there are some serious storms sweeping across the states. I can't deal with it.... Good luck..
