Hmmm. My 06 Megacab 1500, (basically a 2500) with 5.7 Hemi averages 9-10 mpg on a mixed bag of driving and I can't get any better than 14 on the highway at a steady 65mph. Something I should be looking at?????

Expensive to convert and horrible mileage. Way less energy in LNG.

I haven't done the LPG conversion, not really worth it for the mileage I do, but the prices I have seen do vary wildly. I get about the same MPG as you, the one I would like to do is get a programmer and make the most of our slightly higher octane rating.

There are quite a few Rams and other US pickups round this way, do you see many others?

Hi Paul
I was begining to think i was the only brit here! nice to know im not alone, i have thought about the programmer but i bought mine for a specific purpose which is to tow my 5th wheel caravan so i am a little loathed to mess around with it, there is a 2nd gen ram just down the road from me and i see another 3rd gen going up and down the A325 which runs from Farnham to Liss, there used to be a couple of f150's but don't see them around anymore other than that not a lot. i estimate i will do around 6000 miles a year in my truck so i will prob go for the conversion it will save me quite a bit when im travelling around europe.

Cheers

I think there are a handful of us (brits) who post regularly.

The programmer may help, gives a bit more power by advancing the ignition slightly based on the fuel used, also gives slightly better MPG from what I've read on here.

Let me know how your conversion works out and costs, I reckon I could be persuaded if it pays back quickly!

Who do you use for parts etc?
