Default Wrecked night runner?

Ok so some asswipe hit my truck while i was sleeping last night and the damages are as follows. rear passanger door creased/ folded in ,Cab corner rolled towards the rear, rocker pannel folded, nerf bar flattened, bed side smashed in about 6" from front of bed to rear tire. I will have pics up tomorrow. But the question that I have is, are they going to total my truck or do you think they will pay to fix my truck. I am dealing with allstate and have an appointment to have the insurance company do an estimate on thursday the 23rd. The truck only had 46k miles on it and is in show room condition other than the damage that occured last night. I am just wondering what the claims adjuster will do. I really want to keep this truck and hope they wont total it out what are your guys thoughts?

To be honest, the damages are fixable... But if the frame is tweaked, bent, cracked, or mangled in any way it will most likely be a total loss.

I have looked at the frame. body mounts cab mounts leaf springs and their mounts and all apear to be fine. I am really hoping to be able to keep this beast and not have to go truck shopping again.

it all depends on how much it will cost to fix vs. what they will pay you for a total. Expect them to pay you right at NADA retail (which will be considerably less than KBB). So if the damages approach NADA value, they will probably total it out...

Also, Even if it is repaired. You may want to consider getting rid of it.... Many vehicles after an accident like that are never teh same.

Agreed, if it is sheet metal damage, expect to have it fixed. You can ask them to total it and see what they will do if that what you want.

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Not as bad as the OP, but $1200 worth!! Looks like some d*ck backed up in some sort of cube van or purolator truck and took off. He might have not noticed it, but it sure was an unpleasant surprise when I got off work that day!!

I got it fixed since then, and it all looks purrty now. But I know how the OP feels...it sucks! I hope it works out for you, man.
