Question Tire size question

Looking for some information...I have an '07 Ram 4x2 with a 2" front leveling kit on it. I have heard good things about the Cooper Zeon LTZ tires and am wondering how big I can go on stock 20" rims without impacting the operation of the truck. (anti-lock system, turning ratio, rubbing, etc). Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

As I said in the other section:

Welcome to the forum. If you search you will find many threads answering this question. The FAQs section is also a good place to look. Here are a couple of threads from the FAQ section that may help

Most of my experience is with 4x4 fitment (and yeah Marx is correct, a 2x4 is just a piece of wood, LOL), but your biggest obstacle is going to be width rather than height. The width & backspacing of the stock 20" is not very conducive to a wide tire.

I'd say in a Zeon the tire size would be 275/60r20, which is basically a 33" x 11" tire. Should look good with a leveled truck.

IMO the Zeon is a good tire for a mostly pavement 4x2. A hybrid between a highway tread and an All-Terrain tread...

Well its also going to depend on the width of the tires but I think most people get to 33 and maybe can squeeze a 34 if the width and backspacing are in your favor. Some use wheel spacers so it kinda depends on your combo. It will not affect your ABS, brakes, turning any anything else

Default Tire sizes

The guy at Discount Tire told me 305/50-20 will fit on stock wheels with a little rub at full lock.

I had 295/50-20's on my 04 and they were fine. Going to try the 305's on the the 08 when it needs new sneakers this spring.

There are plenty of people that run 305/50R20s with not issues or rubbing. Part of it is because they are shorter than stock 275/60R20s
