I know when I did the cab lights and then again when I replaced my driver's side pillar cover for the pod one, I used a socket that was a part of my 1/4" set, so it wasn't anything "special".

I would have guessed smaller, but this is straight from the Mopar manual:

1. Pull the rubber door molding away from the A pillar location. Fig. 17
2. Using a pick tool, pry open the screw covers on the plastic A pillar covers to reveal the 10mm bolts. Fig. 18
3. Remove the bolts and the A pillar covers.

You know 'Weed had I guessed it, I woulda said the same thing. For some reason 5/16" stuck out in my mind as well. If you'll look at my post, I said I would have guessed smaller.

BUT a 5/16" is almost exactly an 8mm. If the OP was using an SAE set, there is no real equivalent to a 10mm head, with 3/8" being just barely over 9mm and 7/16" being almost exactly 11mm. Could be the manual is correct at 10mm and it would explain why he ain't got nuthin' to fit...

You work on a vehicle nowadays, you gotta have an SAE and a Metric in EVERYTHING. I haven't bought a single set of wrenches or sockets or torx bits or basically anything in years. I have all matching pair sets of both... LOL...

Yeah what's up with that?? Back in the day, when I had my El Camino (70), everything on that car was std. Nowadays, these vehicles are made with both metric and std. it seems. It can be very frustrating, but like Hammer said, you need a set of both.
