I haven't had any problems with mine on my '96 except it gets cold or hot depending on the time of year. I did have one on my old van that laced up and never had any slipping issues.

Mine was good until 3-4 months ago. Probably about the time I hit 55-60k miles. But it gets worse every day. I just need to remember to grab a cheap one I am at the store next time.

Rubber steering wheels are a joke. They have no place in any vehicle.

I'm going down to see my buddy who owns a scrap yard and seeing if he has any leather wrapped wheels with an airbag still intact.

Anyone have a wheel skins stitch leather cover? I've had one on each of my last 4 trucks and they're awesome. Nice leather, and done right, looks like it came that way. I'll have to get some pics, but check out wheelskins.com.

I lucked out and scored a NOS one still in the box for about 1/3-1/2 the price of new. I'm waiting til my carpet gets a little more worn and then I'll do it all at the same time.

My dad actually had one that matched my dash and fit my wheel in is garage one day after we were talking about how my wheel was starting to crumble off. Never has slipped or giving me any problems. Now i need to figure out if i want to put a cover over my dash or try and replace those pieces.

There's a company that makes replacement wheel rims for the 04-08 steering wheels, different shades of wood and satin silver (won't work on the 02-03 unfortunately).

This is the cover I put on, like I said, nothing fancy for $12. But it still looks damn near like the day I put it on 5+ years later...

and yeah, it was a bi*ch putting it on. Luckily it was a hot, south Georgia summer day and an hour laying on the driveway in the sun softened it up quite nicely...

Default Huh? What? Oh my steering wheel?

Yeah, well you know it got hot out and after all it is an optional leather steering wheel and well you know.....it, kinda, well you know........MELTED!!!
Oh yes of course it was a hot day and a big 6 inch blister developed only on the top of the wheel and it still turns the truck and all, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP!! Leather stitched optional steering wheel. I am going to take it to an upholstery shop to have it repaired. I mean I was busy that day working you know and I accidently left the truck in my driveway. AS I AM APT TO DO. Great stuff a paid off 07 Hemi and all the rest...........
