Air Bag Leveling?
#2
I have THESE they mount between the axle and the body and are bolt-on with no modifications as compared to THESE which set ontop of your leafspring and require you to drill the frame for installation.
Either one will keep your ride level and stable when towing. The handling on my truck greatly improved when towing! I can take turns as fast with a load behind me as I can when I'm empty...lol
If you have any type of body lift or suspension lift you'll want the leaf spring mounted bags, otherwise I'd reccomend the axle bags as they are over the axle and are rated for 2.5x's as much weight as the leafspring bags. Not that you would put that much weight on them, but the fact they offer that much more protection from a blow-out...
I have one airfitting for both sides that I mounted to my reciever just below the bumper. I run 20lbs all the time and it's enough air to tow trailers up to 5,000lbs. This way I rarely have to add air and the ride isn't much different with 20lbs in there.
I've had my bags in for almost 2yrs now. This is my 2nd winter and I haven't lost any air yet. Last night it was -3*F.
And YES, I put a protective layer on the air line so it doesn't chaffe....

The set 'dog has are a good set and the price is very affordable. However, if you have or want a lift, be it body or suspension and want bags, then it's the Air Lift kit which will work fine no matter how much lift you have. You might can get the one 'dog has or the Firestones to work with a lift, but you'll have to get extra parts and do a bit of fabbing.
