I just had a flopro muffler put on my 2007 5.7l dodge ram. I had them remove the stock muffler and put this one in its place, they also removed the rear resonator. It's the flopro round muffler and has around a 30" body. This muffler is just not very loud and I was hoping it was going to be louder. Will this muffler break in and get louder or what should I do? I just don't have a lot of money to be going in and redoing my exhaust I have a lot of other things I need to pay for.

 

30" is what came stock on the truck I beleive. Should have probably made it an 18" muffler. My Maggie did get a good bit louder after 8k or so.

 

If you have a front resonator, get rid of it.

 

i had a flowpro muffler on ym truck put on when i first got it.It lasted 4 months welds broke.It was a very very deep sound almost like a flowmaster but best gains was with a 14" magnaflow si/do that i replaced it with all i got to say that flowpro was loud lol

 

The 07 has a resonator before the muffler too. You need to remove it. 08's only had the one after the muffler. Magnaflow will be the best muffler when your Proflo fails.
