That's a dynamite off-road tire, but not a very good choice for a daily driver. They are LOUD (understatement), are not the best on wet pavement and wear VERY quickly on the street. Average life on the street with them is roughly 25k miles. They are also MPG suckers when they have tread due to their really soft compound. I think they are one of the best looking tires out there and will outperform about any tire that is approved for the street in the mud except maybe Boggers and Baja Claws.

If you use your truck primarily on the street, but still want a very aggressive look then look at Nitto's Trail Grappler which is a compromise tire between the Mud Grappler and their VERY SOLID Terra Grappler, which I would also consider...

check out Treadwright.com they are retreads but i havent had any trouble with em yet. This is my second set so far. I got 4 315x70R17s MTs (look like MTRs) for $644 shipped to my door. They measure out 35" and they ROCK in the snow!

I know a few guys run re-treads, especially ini the 2nd Gen section, and most of them swear by 'em, but I've been in two vehicles in my life that had major blow-outs and BOTH times it was re-treads.

I dunno, somehow I just having a problem running a $30k + truck on a set of re-tread tires that someone else already put 50-60k miles on...

I'll second that. I know 4 guys in town who have them and all 4 love them. If I do a summer wheel setup that's the rubber that is going on.
