about 2000lbs; the megacab is on the 2500 frame and is SFA

OP use 89 in the hemi (if your not already) it could pick up 1-2 mpg and runs a bit better

I find anything over 60mph i get a drastic drop in fuel eco

my SLT 4x4 weighs in at almost 5500lbs, I believe the mega is over 7000lbs and 2500's are over 8500lbs

I hope this doesn't come across as me being a d*ck, but fellas, we own trucks. Heavy trucks. We all bought trucks for a specific purpose, me being to pull my trailer. If you want fuel economy, buy an echo. Believe me, the gas hurts my wallet too, with gas here in Canada at $1.10/litre, but I wouldn't be able to do the things I do without my truck. Just keep your truck properly maintained and it will treat you well.

I think the real way to ease the pain is to do what I did. I bought a 96 honda accord for 1500, Ive put 30k miles on it in 2 years and I drive my truck when I want to, not when I have to. Oh and by the way, the insurance cost is a whopping 6 extra dollars a month on my premium. You keep the unessary miles and wear n tear off your pride in joy. So dont waste the 1000 bucks tryn to get 3-4 miles per gallan, get a cheap daily driver, you'll wish you did it sooner, trust me
