Default New Truck Owner

Hey everyone. I am happy to announce that I will be joining the ranks of truck owners on Wednesday. I purchased my first truck ever....finally...at age 40!! I bought a used 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 SXT 4x4 Hemi. Basically, I am posting to get some general feedback on the truck, good and bad. Any advice that anyone can give would be appreciated.

Thanks,
scampb

I bought my 08 Big Horn 4x4 5.7 in August and I love it.

The biggest drawback I've found is it's hard to find after market stuff for it, or made specifically for it. Take Magnaflow Cat-back's, the 08 year is listed as Mega Cab only. A lot of lift kits are in the same boat it seems.

Now with that said, I've found a lot of 07 parts fit the 08, but you really have to research it.

As for problems, keep an eye on your battery, that hit me a week or so ago, and a few others have ran into it as well.

I love it though, it's honestly the best vehicle I've ever owned, and my big butt fits really well in it (I can't even ride in a 300C without my head dragging the roof). It has enough power to make you smile when you're brave enough to floor it, but you're spending $5 in gas when you do.

It's a great truck though, it's a joy to drive, I can't wait to see what else I can do though.. (Waiting on my warranty to expire..)
