Personal Opinions Lift Kits Or Leveling Kits
I have been kicking around the idea of lifting my 2005 1500...I have been getting some prices and trying to do as much reading on here as possible.
I have not been able to figure out which is better....
So I have narrowed it down to a few choices...Please Advise
Have you guys had any major problems with either???
1. Skyjacker 6'' Suspension Lift W/ Add-A-Leafs
2. 5'' Zone Offraod Suspension Lift W/ Rear Blocks
3. 2" Zone Offroad Leveling Kits W/ Rear Blocks

It's apples and oranges man.
All depends what your goal for your truck is. If you want it big then the obvious option is a lift kit. If you just want your truck to have a level stance then the obvious answer is a levelling kit.
For me, my truck is a work truck. Lifting it while would look good would take away from the functionality of the truck so I just went with a levelling kit.

I just dumped my level kit for a RC lift.. night and day..
with the level kit I lost full turn due to rubbing, and the steering knuckles were colliding with what the hell ever you call those things they were hitting.. (yeah, real descriptive- sorry).. I wouldn't dare take a substantial compression of the suspension while turning.. It was bad.. but it sure looked good..
Put the lift on a few weeks ago, and the truck drives like stock again.. Full turns, full articulation of the suspension, and handles much better than the leveling kit did..
I also put skyjacker softride +3" leaves under the back, and with 2" blocks under them.. THAT, really helped handling- as well as gives me a little more confidence hauling/towing than i had before..
I have just shy of $2k total in the lift..

Don't know anybody with the Zone on a Ram, but they have a good rep among the Jeep crowd. I've looked at the 5" kit and they appear to be very good for the money. Although I'd prefer a full sub-frame as opposed to cross-members, they do have the drop brackets which allows the CVs to operate at or near stock angles. Appears to be a solid, bargain-priced kit. I'd pick it over most of the kits I've seen in it's price range.
The Skyjacker is obviously a higher end kit, but twice the money. For your stated uses, I think the Zone is adequate, but if $ is not an issue, I'd go for the Skyjacker.
As far as the level kit goes, they are just your basic keys, but in this case with the rear blocks to keep the "rake" look. To me, keys are keys and any name brand is probably just as good as another. I'd just stay away from no-name chinese made stuff, the metals they tend to use over there are cast and not very strong...
