Procomp vs Bistein Shocks
I recently leveled my 1500 2wd. (2" coil spacer and 1.5 lift block) I found Bilstein HD and 5100 for almost twice as much as procomp es9000. Is it really worth getting Bilsteins? Thanks for your input.
It all opinionated.
But maybe this poll in our FAQs can help

twice as much? i got my bilstein 5100's for about 300 bucks 320 ish for shipping, and they were totally worth it going from stock...but i cant say about the procomps tho..never had em..but cmon who doesnt want nickle plated bilsteins
ProComp shocks are good shocks, although the ES1000s are really low end, the ES3000s & 9000s are solid and the MX6 is about on par with the Rancho 9000x. They are all made by Tenneco who owns both Monroe and Rancho. Standard, generic white shocks that they make for about everybody in the 4x4 and off-road biz. Good shock for the money BUT not even close to the same league as a Bilstein.
It's up to you, you can get a set of GOOD shocks for about $160 (or about $120 if you catch them on a buy 3 get 1 free that they often run). OR you can get a GREAT shock for twice the money...
