Hey guys so i have been talking with a local shop that installs anything you could want on ur truck but specializes in lifts and tires. They quoted me 1497.00 for the lift and install and garantee to fix if any problems if they may arise. So what do you think? is this quote reasonable? Any of you guys running this same lift please chime in on details about the lift itself. I debated back and forth with the 4in - 6in lift for a week or so and there is a 50 dollar price difference for the bigger kit so i have decieded to go that route. Let me know what you fellas think... Thanks
Robert

That's very cheap for the install, ESPECIALLY with the warranty he is offering you. ALMOST sounds too good. The kit is a decent one, too.
Get the warranty in writing, I'd love to see the look on their faces if they had to replace a broken CV shaft or front differential if one should arise. Not saying it will, but it both or not uncommon on lifted IFS trucks. LOL...

agree 100% hammer. When i talked with him today he said all that would be included in the paper work. I go friday to actually talk to him in person and set the finally details so we will see how his quote stands up. Hammer I know you run a 4 in lift with 35's do you have any rub at all even when you put the truck in bind. Im still tosing up between with the 4in and the 6in.

Nothing even close to a bind. I went 4 inch because I use my truck bed a lot. I carry my ATV in it often as well. I thought 6 in. would be too high. Besides, I'm a firm believer in no more than 35" tires on a IFS truck. CVs half shafts just are not as strong as a solid axle, I don't care what anyone says.
6" of lift is fine, if the lift is designed to not raise the CV angles, but many do. 37's are damn heavy though. If you do 6", then I suggest you still stay at 35" tires.
You may run into a clearance problem with a coil over front ('06+) 1500 with the stock wheels though regardless of how much you lift it. I'd suggest a negative offset wheel with about 4.25-4.75" of backspacing. Coil over fronts don't have the clearance that the torsion bar front ('02-'05) 1500s do.

Thanks hammer for the insight. Yeah im currently running 35x12.50x20 on the stock rims but i do have a 1.5 hubcentic wheel adapter so at this point the only place i rub is the on the inner fenderwell when turned at full lock and when i get into a lil bit of a bind. another question related this this topic is so ever since i have installed my leveling kit i have noticed that one side of the truck sits a lil lower that the other. 1. What causes this? 2. will the suspension lift take care of this problem? I really think this is part of the reason why is rubs so much when turning my tires rub more on the driver side than the passenger side.

What's your take on Skyjacker guys??? I have been asking around as well. I'm looking between a 4'' and 6'' with 35'' BF Goodrich A/T's. . .
Any issues that I should be concerned with??? Rubbing, CV's, Ball Joints??
I have an estimate to put a 6'' Skyjacker Add-A-Leaf in my truck totalling $1,400 for 2 days labor....Is this accurate?
