Finally...Leveled. I guess.
The biggest Dune Grappler I found was 315/70/17 at 34.something inches, and for some reason the biggest ones are the cheapest...
I have a couple of before pictres at almost the same angle, but I didn't do that tape measure pictures...I see a minor difference, but I'm not all too happy with it, but I'm not going to complain because it was my birthday present. Woudl it be bad to take off the air dam at the bottom, because I never liked the look of it anyway? Once I get my new tires on there I'll feel better
speaking of which, I found a dash kit that can change it to pretty much any color and was thinking about getting one and doing my dash accents all black or silver on the inside. It's a pretty bad@$$ looking little kit. I'll post it because I remember SOMEONE asking about one like this before...but I don't remember who but it gave me the idea to find one. It covers everything, dash accents, doors, center consoles if you have them, I thinkg it looks really good.http://www.carid.com/2008-dodge-ram-...tem-40666.html
and I think I might go for the Dunes at 305/70/17 so I can at least have a 33" tire.
Okay, fine. No dune grapplers. I don't want a competely flat tread though, and I don't like the look of either of those tires so I'll keep looking. I do need help on wheel size though, I want maybe some Cragar Soft 8s but I don't know the size I would need for my truck, and then a good size tire to fit them.
OK well you need to step back and say what do i drive more on, road or mud then make your decision. Keep in mind all tread is relatively flat...are you saying you want more dimension when you look at the tires?
First off, I think your truck looks way better now that it is leveled. Again, most level kits don't level the truck completely and there is still a slight rake. My truck is about .5" lower in the front still with the 2" level kit. Second, I just got the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S in a 285/70-17 (33" tire) and they look great. Here is a pic.

Well actually they were on the truck until just yesterday. I finally found a set of 17's not too far from home and the guy was letting them go for $100 and they look brand new. I sold the 20's last night locally, and bought my new tires this afternoon. If I would have had the alloy 20's I would have probably powder coated them like you did, or would have liked them better, I'm just not a big fan of chrome wheels. I like the alloy 17's much more, and feel that it looks more like a truck should now.
