The first thing you need to do is figure out where you drive and how you use your truck and then get the proper tire for it.
Forget what "looks cool". You are talking like you're 16 years old...

Nope, no rubbing at all. They fit perfectly and fill out the wheel well nicely but not too much. The tread depth on these Geolandars is crazy, and I got a 50,000 mile warranty on them for 80 bucks. If I ever get a nail in the sidewall or a blowout, they will replace it for free.

Thanks for the compliment, I love the 17's and the ride is much more comfortable than it was with the 20's

I wasn't trying to offend anyone by liking them...but anyways off the Dune Grapplers, I think I may have found a PRACTICAL tire that pleases my eye.

you weren't really offending anyone, just being a little immature about wanting what is probably the wrong tire for you just because it looks cool.

Bridgestones are good tires.

What exactly do you use your truck for?

Those revo's are one of the ones i mentioned originally that you said the tread was too flat.

You'll be much better of choosing an appropriate tire by deciding what you use your truck for and what type of tire look yout want. i dont use my truck for offroading, but I wanted something that was meaty looking yet road friendly.
Gotta narrow down your options and then set a price limit.
285/70/17 is max I would go, but you could prob squeeze 295/70/17 in there with no rubbing. Not sure of the exact specs on the 17's.(BS,offset,width)
You got a level, but going to a very tall tire(35") will look pretty stuffed under there.

I wasn't really thinking tread I was thinkg about the sidewall, but anyway, I find myself going through dirt and mud a lot, but not real deep crazy mud but I still drive through it a lot and I'm on the highway a lot too. All things said and done in the past, I'll probably just go with something like the Dueler Revo's or the Dueler A/T's I posted.

Well, if you are in the mud a good bit, you really do want something fairly large voids and some sidebite. Your Dune Grapplers would be a very poor cherce.

Look at something like Mickey Thompson MTZ or the Cepek FCIIs I have. Very good road manners while still giving good bite in the mud.

I have actually looked at the Dick Cepeks and Mickey Thompsons before, but wasn't sure about them...I might look into them, but like I said it's not SERIOUS mud, but I do encounter it a lot. On a side note, would some black Cragar Soft 8's be a good choice of wheel? I like the way they look, but are they light and practical?
