Default Questions before I buy

I just sold my 2000 Ram and I'm in the market for a 3rd Gen Ram so I have a few questions. My wife and I have 2 Hemi Magnums and just love them so I'm shooting for a Hemi, but might end up with the 4.7 or 5.9

Are there any common problems that I should be on the lookout for? Are the 3rd Gen tranny and diffs a prob just like the 2nd Gen? I've had 4 Gen 2s and what a PITA the trannys and diffs are...Always something weird going on

More than likely I'll end up with a 02-04 because they seem to be right in the rangethat I want to spend. Also shooting for the 4x4 crew cab options

Open to any and all pointers and advice. Thanks

Here you go. Please check out this thread as maybe it will help. But overall 545rfe issues are not common.

If it were me, I would get an 04-05

02s had 5.9s and although 03s had 5.7s, they have valve spring issues.

Those pics make it look bad with that white background reflecting. It makes it look dirty but Im sure it looks better in person. Be sure to take and post pics when you get it
